TH don't only sing about the abyss, maybe they're also standing right before one.

Tara O'Grady [celebrity expert]: So far, they've had big success in the USA, but today there was a scandalous story posted on Perez Hilton's blog.

Just before, the Magdeburg boys had won the MTV VMA as best newcomers and were euphoric with their US success.
Bill: Incredible. I'm so happy!

This happiness might pass, because gossip reporter Perez Hilton put the band in the pillory: TH were the new Milli Vanilli. Purportedly, Bill hasn't sung a single note live during the whole US tour, and also Gu, Ge and T are said to have not played their instruments themselves, the music had come from a tape. When somebody like Perez Hilton says something like this, it definitely has its consequences.

O'Grady: Perez is a very famous and powerful personality in the internet and can make or break careers in the music or hollywood business.

And Hilton mentions proof: He has access to set lists, where it's noted when the microphone has to be put back on in between the songs. For Bill should be able to talk in between songs, and the illusion of live play should stay intact.
But they themselves admit that there have been problems in the past:

[footage from the new DVD] *note how cleverly they cut that in with the video from about a year ago of them walking in!*
Tom: The main progress for us as band is just that in the beginning we really were a crappy live band ;-), and now we just have become a good live band.

And just that is being questioned now. However, the fans in the US have not so far not realized the purported playback... In any case, at the latest at the next concert, people will listen very closely, whether the boys really can play live.
